BREAKUP
day : 12 January, 1992.
It
was 3:30 am.
Door
bell ranged. Aditi’s mom and dad got shocked. Aditi’s brother ran towards the
door with fear. It was Aditi at the door. Aditi was crying. As soon as the door
was opened, Aditi ran towards her mom and hugged her.
Aditi’s
mom : “what happened beta ?”
Aditi
: “I don’t want to live with Rohit anymore”
Aditi’s
dad : “why beta ? what happened ?”
Aditi
: “Mom. Dad. Rohit is big liar”

Few
years before marriage,
Rohit
and Aditi were very good friends. Rohit and Aditi used to share everything. It
was December winter and Rohit proposed Aditi. Aditi said no and their
friendship lost its strength.
Again,
after two months, on valentine day.
Rohit
: “Aditi, will you marry me ?”
Aditi
: “No Rohit, I don’t love you, I don’t want to marry you”
Rohit
: “Wont you fulfill my life’s last wish ?”
Aditi
: “What do mean, Rohit ?”
Rohit
: “Aditi, I have Cancer, I don’t know how long I will live”
Aditi
was shocked.
Thinking
what to reply, Aditi said : “I need some time.”
At
night, she called her best friend Shikha to her house. She wanted to take
decision with her family and best friend Shikha. She asked her family whether
she should disclose the untold fact.
The
next morning,
Aditi
: “I made my decision”
Rohit
: “So. Is it yes ?”
Aditi
: “Before that, I want to tell you something, which might change your thinking
for me”
Rohit
: “Nothing can…..”
Aditi
(stopping Rohit) : I m also a cancer patient.
Rohit
: “Really ? so what ? Infact, its good. We can support each other. Aditi , I
don’t have any problem. Tell me, Will you marry me ?”
Aditi
: “yes”

BREAKUP

At
12:18 am, midnight.
Rohit’s
mobile ranged. Rohit was sleeping. Aditi took the phone. It was Shikha on call.
Aditi
: “Hello Shikha, what happened ? You called so late?”
Shikha
: “Aditi, I need Rohit’s help. My son has met with the accident, he need blood.
Rohit has same blood group. Please tell him to come to City Hospital”
Aditi
: “Shikha, you know Rohit is suffering from cancer, hence, he can’t donate
blood.”
Shikha
: “No Aditi, he is not suffering from cancer. He told this so that you marry
him without any regrets.”
Aditi
: “What ? Ok. I am sending him. Don’t worry”
Aditi
tells Rohit to wake up and tell him to go to hospital to donate blood. Aditi
doesn’t talk anything about the cancer. Rohit leaves immediately. Aditi, after
thinking for some time, pack her bag and leaves the home.

Few
years before marriage, Rohit and Aditi loved each other but never said anything
to each other. When Aditi learned about her cancer, she started avoiding Rohit.
Soon, when Aditi rejected Rohit’s propose, Rohit started finding the reason of
changed Aditi. On forcing Shikha, Rohit came to know the truth. Rohit knew that
Aditi didn’t want to put her responsibility on him. So, Rohit pretended to have
cancer and also took Shikha to his confidence.
Rohit
and Aditi got married.
A
junk-food loving Rohit started living on boiled vegetables and cereals only. He
stopped eating sweets and ice creams which were always his favourite. He
participated in every activity along with Aditi to maintain the health. He
lived a patient’s life which was full of restrictions. He avoided every freedom
that he deserved. He did all this for his love – Aditi.

Knowing
the fact, that Rohit is not a cancer patient. She regretted. She was thinking
that Rohit should enjoy his life and should come out of this restricted world
and hence she left the house.
Soon,
in the morning, Rohit came to Aditi’s house. He explained him that she is not
responsibility for him. He told her that every moment that he spent with her
with more tastier than a junk food and sweet than an ice cream. Soon, Aditi
agreed and they went back to their home.

Today,
Rohit is in his late forties. Rohit has a good business. Rohit also runs a
trust for helping the cancer patient. Don’t worry, Aditi is still alive and
they are living happily. So far, cancer is unable to overtake their love.
